Melanie Betts Physiotherapy provides physiotherapy and sports injury services at Wildmoor Spa & Health Club. The Wildmoor physio team is headed up by Melanie Betts and Charlotte Ward, both extremely experienced physiotherapists who have been practising clinically for over 20 years. Both have worked in Britain & USA. They also work with elite, professional athletes; with Melanie Betts supporting Great Britain Swimming and Target Shooting teams Internationally. Travelling with the latter team to the Athens 2004 Olympic and Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games.
All musculoskeletal problems benefit from early, quality assessment and treatment. Treatment programmes are devised following a full and thorough assessment, allowing them to be individualised to the patient. The cornerstone of treatment is joint mobilisation & manipulation and soft tissue treatments, prescribed exercises; a “hands-on” approach and where appropriate may be combined with acupuncture and electrotherapy.

Assessments and treatments are clinic based, but we are also able to perform domiciliary or work place visits where necessary.
Is Melanie's lead physio at the Wellness academy. Charlotte is a Chartered Physiotherapist, specialising in the treatment of musculoskeletal and sports injuries using manual therapy and acupuncture. Charlotte qualified in 1990 working initially in the NHS gaining wide experience in all aspects of physiotherapy, including setting up a successful private sports injury clinic.
She went on to specialise in Orthopaedic Medicine gaining valuable experience in a prestigious Orthopaedic and Trauma Hospital in Toronto. Charlotte has an array of experience treating back and neck pain after having worked for several years at a specialist Spine Clinic in the United States. Whilst living in the USA, she also worked with Orthopaedic Consultants specialising in ACL reconstruction and Rotator Cuff repairs. This has given her a special interest in knee and shoulder injuries.
Charlotte has continued to develop her skills through postgraduate courses having a particular interest in assessing postural, muscle and movement imbalances and prescribing exercises to help her clients regain full function.
