During April I heard through my sister-in-law that the cycle route around Lake Constance was at last finished and so I was ready for the challenge to complete the route!
On Monday 18th May I crossed to Lake Konstance and prepared to start the trip on Tuesday.
During the whole trip it never got above 15 degrees! After a difficult ride along gravel and rough country paths Wednesday was really a wasted day, but I used it as a
training day and did 35 miles in very hilly country and again got cold and wet.
Thursday I cycled back into Germany to a little village of Wallhausen where I caught a ferry, after about 2 hours in the rain, to the glorious town of Uberlingen.
Friday the 22nd the sun shone for about 2 hours and I managed to get a photo taken, cycling on to Kressbronn on Saturday from Germany I continued round the end of the lake into Austria. A very special week – many new experiences and lots of fun. All in
