Jackie initially studied acupuncture at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine, in Reading, one of the foremost colleges in Europe. After a three and a half year course, she qualified in 1996, gaining her Licentiate Diploma, and membership of the British Acupuncture Council. She has worked both in private practice and within a hospital environment since.
A further 3yr course followed, studying Chinese Herbal Medicine, and Jackie was awarded a Diploma CHM in 2001, using herbs to supplement acupuncture where appropriate.
January 2007, following a year of research, Jackie gained a BSc Hons degree in Acupuncture Studies, and is now also a Regional Tutor for the college at which she studied. She has also attended postgraduate workshops for specialist areas of acupuncture treatment, such as – infertility & gynaecology.
Jackie has always worked in healthcare. Initially working within orthodox medicine, she became a technical adviser to doctors involved in clinical trials, but gradually developed an interest in more natural ways of treating health problems. Her approach to healthcare is professional, but friendly, and sympathetic to the patient’s lifestyle.
