Simon has just completed an NVQ Level 4 in Functional Training. This qualification is widely regarded as one of the top awards available to Personal Trainers, Strength and Conditioning Coaches and Physiotherapists. The skills acquired during the course enable Simon to diagnose any movement related problems that are stopping you from achieving the results your efforts deserve.
Simon is also a Poliquin Strength Coach, broadly seen as the top Strength and Conditioning qualification. Strength and Conditioning is traditionally used to train professional athletes, but can now be used to get everyone their desired results.
By training in this way you will be benefiting from professional training techniques, where attention to detail is critical, and improvements are significant.
Simon recently completed an internship at Leicester Tigers Ruby Club, working with the Head Fitness Coach and the first team squad, including many international players, where he learnt even more about cutting edge training and nutritional techniques.

This note is for the benefit of anyone who considers engaging Simon Ward as a fitness trainer.
I retired after a long career as an industrialist. Didn’t look good or feel good about myself and needed to get in shape. Joined a health club, focussed on aerobic activity and swam for several monotonous miles every week for two years... producing little, if any, visible benefit. Conclusion: I needed to do something different!
Starting in June ’09, I embarked on a fitness programme, configured by Simon, combining Gym work-outs and a very enjoyable nutritional regime.
The results are clear: In four months I weigh a little less but, more important, I am stronger, have more muscle and visibly less fat, sleep better, look better/younger and feel good about myself.
Simon understands the whole science of physical fitness and articulates this to the client in a quiet way that is motivational. His skills are applicable to all age groups.
