The Fitness Classes

Aqua Circuits

A cardiovascular and strength workout in water. You can work as hard as you like against the water's resistance for a lower impact but calorie burning and toning workout. (Ideal for those with weaker joints)

Ashtanga Yoga

For those who want a serious workout, Ashtanga may be the perfect yoga. Participants' move through a series of flows from one posture to another to develop strength stamina and flexibility. Here is your chance to build a safe, solid foundation in this ancient science and art. A regular practise creates a more flexible, stronger, lighter and fitter body. It also reduces stress, focuses the mind and heightens the sense of connection.

Body Attack

A challenging workout to effectively burn calories and improve fitness. Combines running, kicking, jumping exercises to high energy music. A simple and more athletic workout for the whole body, ideal for regular exercisers.

Body Balance

A workout containing poses from tai chi, yoga and pilates set to music. An excellent way to improve flexibility, muscle balance, posture and a create a sense of calm and well being.

Body Combat

A non contact high energy workout that combines kicks and punches from a variety of martial art and self defence disciplines. A fun packed energising workout set to music.

Body Pump

An energising strength and conditioning class set to music. An excellent all over resistance workout focusing and all key muscle groups using a barbell.

Fit Ball

Challenge your balance and core muscles with this strength inspired workout. With particular emphasis on abdominals and back muscles your instructor will lead you through a series of exercises with the inflatable fitball to make your muscles work harder for a more effective workout.

Dynamic Hatha Yoga

Based on the Iyengar Yoga method. Postures are held for a longer duration and incorporate the breathing techniques of Ashtanga. Emphasis is more on alignment and precision within the postures and using props such as blocks and belts for assistance.

Kinesis technique

A revolutionary class designed to promote functional movement and postural awareness. Develop muscle synergy and balance throughout the body to help minimise injury and maximize performance through the use of cable resistance exercises.

Power Chi

Yoga A fusion of Tai Chi and Yoga, a mild exercise programme designed to raise energy and concentration levels while reducing stress and tension. A sequence of rhythmic and synchronised movements which blend the grace, power and effectiveness of Tai Chi with the stretching, posture and breathing exercises of yoga. Power Chi yoga is a workout for body and mind.

Run Club

An ideal way to take up or improve outdoor running. Join in with other members on these steady but supervised runs. (classes suitable for beginners and advanced)

Salsa / Latin Dance

A mixture of Salsa and Latin dance moves set to music. A fun and friendly class come on your own or with a friend!

Simple Aerobics, Dance Aerobics and Aerobotone

Classic workouts mixing music and choreographed exercise. Simple aerobics combines basic moves whilst dance aerobics adds turns and more complex steps. Aerobotone combines aerobics and body toning exercises.

Spinning

A highly motivating cardiovascular workout on a stationary bike. Guaranteed to burn lots of calories and increase your fitness levels.

Step, simple step and step ahead

A fun packed choreographed workout on a step platform. Simple step is more powerful and follows basic choreography whilst step ahead challenges your mind as well as your body with more complex routines.

Stretch and Relax

If you are interested in increasing your flexibility then this is the class for you. We take our muscles to the point of stretch and then develop this. A relaxing class to ease tension and fatigue in your muscles.

Tai Chi

Tai chi is an ancient form of Chinese martial arts that uses slow controlled movements, postures and breathing to increase the flow of ?chi? or energy in your life. Increased flow of chi can boost your sense of well-being and relieve stress. Tai chi involves very slow movements that aim to control the flow of energy through strength and meditation.

Vinyasa Flows

Influenced by the Ashtanga system. Vinyasa Flow classes link postures with breath whilst sustaining correct alignment at the same time allowing students to progress at their own pace with expert guidance. Every 6 weeks new sequences of yoga postures are presented and taught in a Vinyasa Flow style. The design of each sequence takes into account the experience level of the class being taught and that each posture has simple, intermediate and advanced versions that students can choose.
